Hey guys this is my second post for my 3D workshop that I have been doing on a Thursday. This week we had to make 3D models out of card and masking tape to look like buildings. All we had to do was start with a shape and build it up from there. We had to cut the shapes out with craft knives and we had to use them safely so we didn't harm anyone. This is a picture of my model :

This was a good task however I preferred last weeks lesson more because I found this one a bit difficult and I think my model looked messy. It's a great way to design 3D objects but I definitely need a bit more practice with it because there were a few problems with the model. The first problem was that my craft knife was blunt so it made all the sides on the card look jagged and untidy and the back of my model as seen below looked flat because I worked on it from one direction.

Altogether I think my model looked okay but there are a couple of things I need to improve or change. I look forward to using this technique in other pieces of my work and I hope they will look better than this one. In my next blog I will have been in the actual workshop to make wood models. Hope you are all liking my posts x
